The Odyssey Plan

Hey friends,

You may have noticed that I mentioned something called The Odyssey Plan in last week's newsletter. It is a simple framework for planning your future created by some guy called Bill Burnett who works at Stanford and it is built into the course at Stanford Business school.

Everyone loves a 3 step framework so here you go:

  1. Write out, thoroughly, what your life would look like 5 years from now if you continued down the path you are heading
  2. Write out, thoroughly, what your life would look like in 10 years from now if you continued down a completely different path.
  3. Write out, thoroughly, what your life would look like in 5 years from now if money and societal expectations were no object to you.

I think this is really useful because it enlightens you as to whether or not you are taking the right path and shows you an alternative. Try it out and see what happens; hopefully it will be helpful.

Have a great week!

Conor

P.S sorry it was very short this week I couldn't be bothered to go into any more detail.

❤️ My Favourite Things This Week

  1. Multicultural Week - This week in the school we had a multicultural week and it was really interesting. We got a talk and heard the Edmund Rice prayer in a different language each day.
  2. Hurling match - On Wednesday night I attended the U20s Munster final between Limerick and Tipperary. It was an excellent match and Limerick won to put some icing on the cake.
